....So called, because when all the goths hung out drinking Natch Cider in the parks and graveyards of Barnstaple (Devon, England), we'd think of the best pickup lines we could use, and "Do you like The Smiths?" always won (It never worked BTW). Only to be superseded by "Do you like The Stone Roses" as the 80s turned into the 90s and the drugs got better. The Smiths lived fast and burned brightly. They existed for half the time of The Beatles (5 years to The Beatles 10) but managed to release 4 classic albums and a brace of near perfect singles in that time. They were one of the funniest, funkiest and most accomplished bands of the 80s and this playlist can't do justice to the magic that four very different boys from Manchester made in the time they were together.
